Still such a long way to go but she is getting there!
Those that know me will know that I struggle to hand my own stuff up on my walls at home. I’m trying to buck the trend and my newest project is designed to live in my living room.
Definitely one of my better fairies so far!
I’m loving the face but hating the skirt. Still, that is what the sketching stage is for!
This is my Tobacco Fairy. Who knew tobacco flowers were so pretty? She isn’t quite the same as my original planning sketch but I like to think that this painting has its own character. Perhaps a little more upbeat?
I always find it super annoying when the thing you paint looks awful when you scan it. It has always been a bit of a sore subject with me. The painting above is case in point. I don’t know if its the lighting in the scanner or the lighting out of the scanner but it feels as though something is lost.
This could just be normal artistic paranoia but it will always remain one of my hang ups.
She’s only in her first iteration but I’m liking the chilled-outness of Nightshade.
I’m especially pleased with how her legs have come out. Come out? Well I suppose they do sprout out her hips. Any who, time for a cup of tea and a procrastination about what I do next!
